A transformation of two outdated inpatient mental health units within a 60-year-old hospital was completed through the renewal and reorganization of patient rooms, activity spaces, observation rooms, and therapy areas. Delivered within a constrained budget, working with a construction manager, the design creates a secure, therapeutic setting with warm, contemporary interiors, enhanced observation, and anti-ligature fixtures and furnishings to support patient dignity, comfort, recovery, and staff safety.
