The Medicine Hat Airport Terminal renovation and expansion modernized the facility to improve passenger experience, circulation and air service for Medicine Hat and the surrounding region. The project introduced a new passenger screening and holding area, arrivals hall and central concourse, anchored by a clerestory with a glulam wood deck that brings natural light and warmth into the terminal. Historical references and locally created public art were thoughtfully integrated into the design, creating a distinctive sense of place while meeting federal regulatory requirements and maintaining airport operations throughout construction.
