This new elementary school builds on the successful Coalbanks Elementary School design while incorporating additional classrooms, updated finishes and enhanced sustainability features. Solar panels integrated across the building help the school achieve 102% energy savings over the NECB 2011 baseline, meeting LEED v4 requirements. An innovative Energy Playground further combines recreation with sustainability education. Delivered on an accelerated schedule, the school was substantially completed five months ahead of the client’s occupancy goal.
